Barton Lumber Expands Management Team To Include Tree Lover
Online, June 8, 2010 (Newswire.com) - New Hampshire native, Brett Barton, has been named the Director of Sales and Marketing for Barton Lumber Company. Located in Barnstead, Barton Lumber has been active in the state's lumber industry for more than 100 years.
Barton Lumber President, Bruce Barton, said, "The addition of Brett to our staff full time is welcomed by the entire staff. Not only does he bring a wealth of experience to our business, but he represents the 4th generation of Barton's to work in the lumber industry."
Brett Barton was born and raised in Epsom, but currently resides in Barnstead. Brett has been active in the community operating his logging business. Currently the President of Barton Forest Management, Brett will be taking on a more active role in the family owned and operated Barton Lumber Company. In addition to work, Brett volunteers his time as an advisor for the Belknap Cooperative Extension.
The younger Barton likes the idea of being able to work more closely in the family business. He says, "I remember playing in the mill during down times with my trucks in piles of sawdust. It was a real treat for someone so young. Now my pleasure comes from working with my dad, Bruce, my cousin Lillian, and the rest of the Barton Lumber team to carry on the family legacy in this region."
