Basketball Fans of Lithuania Invite Europeans to the Basketball Championship in 21 Languages

Online, June 1, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Hundreds of basketball lovers spruced up with basketball attributes stood into a big "Basketball Heart" in Lithuanian capital Vilnius. A heart shaped standing crowd in all languages of the countries participating in European Men Basketball Championship that takes place this autumn has invited basketball fans to come to Lithuania - the heart of European Basketball. The invitation was filmed and a made-up video clip circulates all over the Europe.

"It is a private, financed by no-one, benevolent initiative that was born from the idea to show to Europe the Lithuanian solidarity and the fact that to some purpose we are called a Basketball country. We recognize that we did not manage to pronounce the phrases in all languages regularly but this does not make the clip less interesting. It was made from the bottom of our hearts", - Tomas TumaloviÄius, project initiator, photographer of the Lithuanian Basketball National Team and Basketball Fans Community "Basketball Heart" says.

He is convinced that the phrase "Welcome to Lithuania - the heart of European Basketball" pronounced by the gathered crowd in 21 European languages will touch the heart of each European. Every basketball lover is welcome to share this video with each other.

This phrase has also become an official record of Lithuania as an invitation to the event of European Men Basketball Championship taking place in Lithuania in autumn 2011 pronounced in most languages.
