Bathawk Recon's 'Big Ground' Concept for Anti-Poaching in Tanzania

Bathawk's 'Big Ground' concept is a plan that will deploy UAV anti-poaching surveillance on a scale that will make a difference across the huge landscapes threatened by poaching. Most drone anti-poaching projects being discussed now in the media are actually much more modest. They are based on and limited by rangers' capability.

The wildlife UAV expert Dr. Nir Tenenbaum says "to date, no unmanned aerial solution has been applied successfully to direct anti-poaching activities – not because they are inadequate but because they are not selected, used and deployed correctly for this role". Bathawk's recent report explains selection, use and deployment of the right machine for the job. Exactly as Tenenbaum proposes. (Report available on request).

Dr. Tenenbaum goes on: "Drones for intelligence, surveillance, anti-poaching and protection require higher quality and performance, including carrying heavier payloads, providing real-time data, longer range and endurance. These characteristics are exactly what the SuperBat and the Big Ground concept give.
