BCC Software President Selected for Multiple Speaking Engagements at National Postal Forum

Chris Lien chosen once again to present national-level industry workshops

BCC Software is pleased to announce that company president Chris Lien has been chosen to present at three workshop sessions during the 2018 National Postal Forum (NPF) in San Antonio, Texas. Lien has been a frequent presenter at NPF for over a decade.

“The National Postal Forum is the pre-eminent annual event where the mailing industry comes together to learn and experience the latest in mail preparation and delivery,” said Chris Lien. “I am honored to have been asked to share the latest in data quality best practices and direct marketing technology with our valued customers, strategic partners and mailing service providers.”

During the workshop sessions, Lien will present “Messaging to Millennials: Direct Mail’s Role” in which he will discuss how to accurately target millennials. With 92 percent of millennials reporting that they are influenced by direct mail, direct marketers cannot afford to miss this presentation. In this session, attendees will learn how to leverage data quality for personalized messaging and leave armed with factual statistics on direct mail’s performance with this important buying group.

Attendees can also catch Lien’s presentation “How to be a Modern Data Detective in an Informed World.” In this session, participants will learn how to read and communicate the data coming from Informed Delivery, Informed Visibility, the Mailer Scorecard and other codes, and take it a step further by delving into how to best leverage this data to bring even more value to their direct communications efforts.

Changes in workflow, processes and strategies don’t just happen overnight, and there’s no better time to prepare for the future than now. In “Create a 20/20 Vision for the year 2020,” Lien will discuss disruptions in the industry that companies need to be ready for and ways to handle them, such as automated workflows, integrated processes, documentation, training and education.

Chris Lien has been active in the mailing industry for over 25 years. During this time, he has authored several software solutions utilizing Mail.dat for electronic auditing, distribution and logistics planning, palletization and electronic postage payment. He has been heavily involved in industry associations such as the Association for Postal Commerce, Alliance of Nonprofit Mailers, Idealliance and has previously served as industry chair of the Postmaster General’s Mailers Technical Advisory Committee (MTAC).

BCC Software is celebrating 40 years in business in 2018 and is just as dedicated as ever to our customers and the industry as a whole. The company has been innovative in the face of many industry changes over four decades and is the trusted partner to thousands of companies.

Those attending NPF can register to reserve complimentary exhibit hall passes and a free BCC Software portable powerbank by visiting bccsoftware.com/npf.
