Beard Beanie Discusses Movember And How It Helps Cancer Research
Online, October 25, 2012 (Newswire.com) - UK retailer of the original Beard Beanie, Beard Beanie, discusses the event, Movemeber, and how it helps to raise money for charities.
Movember is an event in which men from around the world all shave their faces on the 1st of November, and spend the rest of the month growing and maintaining a moustache. The even began with just 30 men in Melbourne, and has since escalated and become a world-wide charity fundraising event that many take part in.
Beard Beanie is supporting Movember this year by donating 50p of each sale made in November to the charities supported by Movember. A Sales Spokeswoman for Beard Beanie added, "We all love Movember and are really excited about getting people involved using a Beard Beanie. Our products have a moustache, which means that people can wear them and still take part in Movember events, helping to raise awareness of men's health issues just like everyone else involved will be."
Beard Beanies come in a wide range of styles in order for everyone to find one that suits them. There are many different events during November that Beard Beanie will be featuring their products in, including the Ski Show at the NEC in Birmingham. Through these events Beard Beanie hope to spread news of their support of Movember and get more people involved with the event than would be without the extra encouragement.
Movember spreads the donations received between Prostate Cancer UK, The Institute Of Cancer Research, and the initiatives run by Movember. These initiatives are an awareness and education programme to teach men to be more aware of their health, and a Global Action Plan, which aims to make significant steps forward in both prostatic and testicular cancer research.
Beard Beanie is a supplier of the original Beard Beanie. The product is a unique combination or eco-friendly materials and well-known sporting products that provide warmth and comfort to everyone. These products can be worn by anyone, including women, meaning that 'Mosisters' can have their own moustaches as well this year.
