Being Safe Is Easier With New Release of My Mobile Tracker & Family Watch, Sparks Rise in Downloads

Second major release for the popular safety app focuses on easy to use GPS technology to watch over loved ones when they travel, come home late at night or are in the outdoors.

GeniusWave announces the second major release for My Mobile Tracker and Family Watch. Apps are available on Apple and Android. The version 2 release focuses on ease of use, providing an updated user interface, a new way to manage emergency contacts and notifications, and new pricing for Economy and Personal Go packaging. Users have been delighted with the new interface triggering a rise in downloads for the award winning safety apps. The positive customer reaction demonstrates why the mobile phone can be such a powerful safety device. The mobile app makes it easy to watch-over family or friends when they travel, play in the neighborhood, coming home late at night, or when they are in the outdoors hiking, running, bicycling and camping. Based on prevention and location-based technology, the app registers an event, tracks using GPS, and issues a call for help when they don't arrive safely. Also it is used as a panic button to send an immediate message to your contact list.

The second release has seen a jump in users with over 5,000 downloads in Apple iTunes and Android Market. The apps have also been recognized with a series of awards, positive reviews and news coverage, including:

"Users have really loved the value of a safety app being built on the principal of prevention is better than cure. When faced with an emergency situation, My Mobile Tracker and FamilyWatch will automatically trigger help without the need for user intervention. Often people do not have the opportunity to call for help during an emergency, even unable to use their phones panic button. During these situations people are not able to react because the phone is off, out of cell range, force in an unwanted position, or in panic mode," says James Khoo, Developer and CEO of SecQ.me. "These apps uniquely react for you."

"Parents have always tried to watch over their kids' safety while providing some independence. This need is especially acute during the summer. My Mobile Tracker and Family Watch helps manage this balancing act using tracking services and GPS technology," says Greg Dierickse, Founder and CMO at GeniusWave. "The adoption of users has been excellent, since the April 2011 first release and now the second release we have seen a very positive reaction and lots of encouragement."
