Bella Donna Brings Enchantment To The Grove Theatre In Upland
The critically acclaimed tribute show to Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac. Bella Donna will perform one night only November 27, 2010 at 8pm at the vintage Grove Theatre in Old Town Upland.
Online, October 26, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Fleetwood Mac fans will be excited to hear that the national touring act, Bella Donna will be making a stop in Upland, California on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at the vintage Grove Theatre. The band, named after the multi platinum first solo release from Vocalist Stevie Nicks will bring their fully staged, authentically costumed 90 minute concert show to the old town venue.
Bella Donna has been in existence since 2002, performing throughout the United States and garnering praise from the 'real' Stevie Nicks after she heard a performance in 2005. The legendary singer quipped with Bella Donna lead vocalist Michelle Tyler that "the band sounded so good, you can take over anytime you like..."
Although, Ms. Tyler is not home waiting on a phone call from Nicks, the validation was powerful statement as to the professionalism and talent of the band.
"It's not easy to portray a living legend such as Stevie," Tyler recently said when she spoke with Diane Schram of Time Warner Cable news. "In fact, I have to regularly do my homework, and really study. From the way the clothes look to the nuances of her unique voice, it's important to get it right."
Bella Donna has been getting it right for more than 8 years building a fan base and a healthy dose of respect from other tribute bands in Los Angeles.
"The tribute scene is a hard working network of people who really take seriously what they do". Tyler retorted in a radio interview for Room At The Top last summer. " Although we do compete for allot of the same venues, we do so in a gentle and supportive way. Most of the tribute artists I know, are consumate pro's who have used all they have learned along the way to create a time and place and a feeling."
What can people expect at a Bella Donna show? Fans sometimes come dressed in flowing black attire to evoke the spirit of Stevie Nicks, and Michelle Tyler, for one, loves it. "Its all about having a good time and being in the moment."
For those who want to watch and leave the twirling to Michelle and her fans, they can expect a high quality mixture of some of the most beloved and greatest rock and roll ever recorded. Fleetwood Mac's uber-platinum album "Rumours" hit number one on the Billboard charts and remained their for months. It is still considered among the top 10 albums of all time.
Bella Donna features Michelle Tyler in the role of Stevie, Shari Rhone on Vocals, Bruce Lawrence on Guitars and Vocals, Ken Dayton on Keyboards, Lou Ozonko on Bass and Vocals, Steve Giba on Drums and Musical director , Bob Weitz on guitars and Vocals.
The night promises to be filled with classic songs such as "Rhiannon", "Dreams", "Landslide" Go Your Own Way:, "Don't Stop", "Edge of 17 (white winged dove" and all the hits you would expect from the National Tribute to Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac.
For those coming to the show, prepare to be "Enchanted"
