Bellyfeel Start Phase 2 of University of Bolton's Transmedia Storyworld Project
Online, June 3, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Bellyfeel and University of Bolton begin Phase 2 of their innovative and exciting transmedia learning experience.
After successful completion of Phase 1 (12 month Research and Development) which delivered a multiplatform interactive storytelling system, Bellyfeel and the University of Bolton's Media Department are pleased to announce the start of Phase 2; storyworld and script development.
Through this media entity University of Bolton will pioneer a new way of working, educating its students, telling stories, and working with industry and the community.
There are several layers of media with different narrative values that populate the StoryWorld - for example the media attached to some nodes are documentaries about the real Bolton, but there is also be linked material: drama based elements from an imaginary TV station where the documentaries are made AND behind the scenes material. The media can be viewed/sorted in different ways: by time, place, theme, author etc. This plays out on many different media delivery platforms.
Anna Zaluczkowska, Programme Leader Media, Writing and Production says, "We are really looking forward to developing the storyworld content with Bellyfeel. The student writers are already creating some great stories and characters that will start life in the digital world and will spill out across the University campus in autumn 2012. It's a very exciting project." Bellyfeel's role is to consult on the transmedia storyworld development.
Webby Award winning Bellyfeel (www.bellyfeel.co.uk) is a leader in interactive storytelling, multiplatform media and social entertainment.
