BenefitsCONNECT® Announces Updates To EDIE Project Management System

New notification features take project management software to a new level by ensuring that projects are delivered on time through automated updates and reminders prompting necessary parties to provide required information.

benefitsCONNECT® announced today the release of new notification features for their EDI, Development & Implementation Engine (EDIE). EDIE is a transparent, state-of-the-art project management system that allows benefitsCONNECT® clients and partners full control over every project undertaken by the benefitsCONNECT® service teams. Brokers may login to EDIE at any time to track the progress of their EDI, development, and implementation projects, as well as any open support tickets. Brokers may also review comments and updates made by benefitsCONNECT® service team members as they work on each project, providing clear and transparent communication between all parties.

The new notification features allow brokers to select a variety of notification types, as well as choose those who are authorized to receive these notifications. EDIE sends 3 types of e-mail notifications: Case Change, Case Status Change, and Continuous Delayed Case.

Case Change notifications alert the developer and / or case owner when a new case is assigned to them, or a change is made to the case. Case Status Change notifications are triggered when a case is started, delayed, or completed. These notifications will be automatically sent to the Broker and Carrier contacts assigned to each case as well as any additional recipients specified by the Broker and entered into EDIE. Continuous Delayed Case notifications inform the Broker or Carrier contacts when a project is waiting for information to move forward and can be customized to determine how often the e-mail notification will be sent out to the appropriate contacts.

"benefitsCONNECT® is committed to quality service and customer satisfaction. We continually strive to provide more than just software," says Ja'Nene Kane, President / COO of benefitsCONNECT®. "With this new release, EDIE becomes an invaluable tool for Brokers by taking the 'management' out of their project management process."
