BenQ Launches 27-inch SW270C Monitor with Color Uniformity, USB-C Connectivity and the Newly Redesigned 2nd Generation Hotkey Puck
The Monitor Delivers BenQ's Industry-leading Color Precision and Consistent Reproduction for Photographers and Videographers
DALLAS, July 8, 2019 (Newswire.com) - BenQ America Corp., a world-leading display technology and solutions provider, announced today the release of its SW270C monitor, part of the PhotoVue Photographer Photo Editing Monitor Series. Created for photographers, videographers, artists and designers, the 27-inch monitor incorporates state-of-the-art AQColor™ Technology to provide users with consistent color accuracy, while enhancing their workflow and productivity.
New to the SW270C is the Color Uniformity Technology, which includes screen-wide precise color from corner to corner, while utilizing BenQ’s AQColor technology, led by a team of color experts, to deliver an accurate and brilliant color experience. Additionally, the SW270C comes factory calibrated with a color performance report to ensure out-of-the-box color accuracy, so users can trust their monitor from the moment they start using it.
The SW270C covers 99% of Adobe RGB, 100% of sRGB/Rec. 709, and 97% of DCI-P3/Display P3. With the 16-bit LUT to improve RGB color blending accuracy, the monitor creates impeccable color reproduction and renders the truest and most representative view of original imagery. To further enhance image quality, the SW270C includes hardware calibration that allows images to remain consistent with the original content without being affected by graphics card settings.
In order to maintain the color performance, the SW270C incorporates Palette Master Element calibration software so users can customize the color settings on the monitor at their most optimal state. Additionally, the SW270C is equipped with HDR10, allowing for previewing the HDR effect on the content during the editing process to ensure the outcome of the final product. The monitor also features a native cadence for 24p and 25p content, so that film content shot at 24 or 25 fps can be played back without a pulldown.
For enhanced efficiency and smooth workflow, the SW270C has a newly redesigned Hotkey Puck that allows creative professionals to use the on-screen display to customize shortcuts to preferred color modes and other desired features, increasing overall productivity. The SW270C also includes a specially designed shading hood attachment to reduce the monitor’s screen glare from ambient lighting to guarantee color accuracy. Equipped with the latest USB-C port, the monitor allows high-speed transmission of video, audio and data as well.
“The SW270C provides creative professionals with a comprehensive monitor solution to ensure that their work is always produced at its highest quality,” said Steve Yang, senior director at BenQ America Corp. “With the latest color accuracy technology and tools to enhance workflow and experience, the new addition to our PhotoVue Series is an excellent option for those in photography, videography, design and more.”
The BenQ SW270C monitor is now available at B&H Photo for a retail price of $799.99. The monitor will also be available at BenQ Direct, Amazon, Best Buy and Newegg by August 1. For additional information, visit https://www.benq.com/en/monitor/photographer/sw270c.html.
