Bestival Goes Green With Rapanui
Bestival have recruited eco fashion brand Rapanui to create and design a Bestival t-shirt from eco friendly materials.
Online, September 14, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Bestival organiser Rob da Bank is well known for his interest in green issues, and recruited local eco-fashion label Rapanui to design a signature t-shirt for the event. Rapanui make clothing from Ethical, eco-friendly materials in a wind-powered factory, and adapted their popular "I Love Wight t-shirt" for the Bestival.
With acts such as The XX, The King blues, Zane Lowe and Professor Green wearing Rapanui eco clothing, the Bestival has shown how powerful it's influence is, as the trend setter amongst trend setters - and how the power of fashion, of simply being cool, can be used for some good - to help the environment.
The Bestival is not just encouraging people to go green but leading by example too. This year sees the introduction of the Plugged In Eco-House with as kinetic dance floor and Hydrogen powered sound-system, the venue for the winners of the Bestival sound clash, Rob da Banks initiative to encourage local artists to participate in the event.

Rob and Martin are listed on the Future 100 List of Top young Entrepreneurs and were recently finalists in Enterprise UK's Young Brits awards.
