Online, December 9, 2009 (Newswire.com) - Bibliotheca is Europe's number one RFID supplier, specialising in RFID solutions for libraries since 2002. It is the second largest global provider of practical, scalable RFID solutions, providing services to 37 countries across the world and 400 installations worldwide. The direct UK operation began on 1 October 2009.
Matthias Joos, CEO of Bibliotheca, says, "Using RFID for security, self-service and shelf-reading are common themes across all our countries of operation but they are implemented very differently according to cultural preferences. Security preferences vary as well - some customers prefer the RFID gates to be very obtrusive whereas others request that they blend in with the surroundings as much as possible. We've designed our products to be flexible so that we can customise them to suit our different markets."
New and innovative products on display at the conference included the Next Generation Software, BiblioCockpit, which allows libraries to monitor all RFID activity from one central workstation and to manage libraries' RFID systems from one computer. Also on display were two new self-service kiosks: BiblioSelfCheckTM Venus and BiblioSelfCheckTM Orion.
The Bibliotheca range is also available through Axiell and the technology and business solutions specialist for UK public libraries and archives is providing onsite support to UK customers whilst Bibliotheca gears up its UK business.
Johannes Rogg commented, "With the establishment of Bibliotheca Ltd we're demonstrating our commitment to the UK market and through our partnership with Axiell we can offer a wide network of highly qualified service engineers across the country along with a well-supported helpdesk for our customers."
