Bishop Eddie Long Accusers - Real Victims or Real Opportunists?

Online, September 28, 2010 (Newswire.com) - New Orleans, Louisiana - With the recent allegations against Bishop Eddie Long all angles seem to point to him being guilty of the accusations, but not so fast. Many people are now looking into the background and character of the men who have accused Bishop Eddie Long of behavior that should never be mentioned in the same sentence with the Pastor of a church. What many people are now discovering about the accusers in the case of Bishop Eddie Long is raising more questions in regard to the legitimacy of the allegations.

It is now coming to light that several of the men making the allegations against Bishop Eddie Long were either on the payroll of the church or served in roles that would have placed them in very close proximity to Bishop Eddie Long. One of the accusers Jamal Harris (age 21 at the time of the allegations) was not only on the payroll from the church but also served as Bishop Eddie Long's personal assistant.

Jamal Harris position as Bishop Long's personal assistant came with a rent free apartment and complete access to not only Bishop Eddie Long, but the entire ministry.

Atlanta attorney B.J. Bernstein who represents all four of the accusers in the sex scandal immediately tried to downplay any character issues with her clients as a result of the burglary that took place at the church, which resulted in two of her clients getting arrested. Tyronne Jacques author of 'How to Fight Google and Win' and Host of Reputation Radio says he finds it interesting how all of these allegations started to fly after the botched burglary.

"I have come under a tremendous amount of heat for defending Bishop Eddie Long, but I have to question how all of these allegations started to fly after these guys broke into Bishop Eddie Long's office. It makes you wonder if these allegations are retaliation because the church did not drop the charges, I'm just saying. One of the guys in question was his personal assistant which means he had access to his cell phone and the pictures on his phone."

Tyronne Jacques went on to say that all the accusers were benefiting from Bishop Long financially and this appears to be a part of a shakedown for money.

"I find it interesting that none of the parents of the accusers found it strange that they were receiving all of this money and expensive gifts. It seems to me that once the money stopped flowing, only then did Bishop Eddie Long become famous for a sex scandal."
