BitDefender Internet Security 2011 Receives AV-Test Certification; Earns High Marks for Detection and Protection Against Real-World Threats

Independent security firm AV-Test.org reports that BitDefender detects 100 percent of widespread malware in tests

BitDefender®, an award-winning provider of innovative internet security solutions, today announced that BitDefender Internet Security Suite 2011 received the AV-Test Certification for their 2010 fourth quarter tests, earning high marks for protecting against malware infections, cleaning and repairing malware-infested computers, and usability.
BitDefender was assessed along with 23 other security products in the areas of protection, repair and usability by the independent testing agency. These tests included:

• Detection and protection against zero-day malware and widespread malware attacks
• System disinfection and malware removal in detail
• System slow-down caused by the tools and the number of false positives
