Black Jewish Hip-Hop Recording Artist Matthew J Set to Release 'The Source of my Strength' June 4th

The Art of Guidance

The principles of education and guidance starts with the ability to connect with our environment. In a release set for June 4, 2021, Matthew J looks to challenge the current state of hip-hop and direct a social movement to uplift the youth, communities and the current connotation of hip-hop music on his new project entitled "The Source of My Strength".

Matthew looks to connect a cultural blend of American hip-hop with an infusion of Judaic law and understanding. To bridge this gap, it will take the knowledge of many walks of life. A communicator's ability to deliver sound understanding and insight is crucial in the development of a culture and its social surroundings.

Matthew grew up in a non-typical environment. With a Jewish mother and a Jamaican father, he was able to see a special blend of cultural differences, family perspectives and gather insights on a spectrum of people, which was a rare opportunity. Visual perspectives of both upper-middle class and lower class living, after a divorce, started shaping his vision at the age of 8.

Matthew's goal, through the art form of hip-hop, is to help the youth achieve maturity.
