“In addition to meeting admission requirements, students will need to have their academic award verified by the student’s high school guidance counselor,” added Norwood. “They will also need to participate in the Blackburn Work Program, reside on campus, and maintain a 3.2 cumulative grade point average.”
“Blackburn has always provided a different educational experience,” noted Blackburn President John Comerford. “High academic achievers find that the combination of rigorous academic programs and the experience gained from the college’s work program combine to provide a superior education — one that leads to greater success following graduation.”
“Blackburn students graduate with an excellent academic degree and four year’s work experience in the nationally-recognized Blackburn College Work Program,” Comerford continued. “The one-of-kind, student-managed Work Program provides opportunities for leadership and management, along with experiences that contribute to a student’s field of study or other interests. Each student gains valuable work skills in time management, teamwork, and successful work completion.”
