Blind School in India

One has to face in numerable difficulties in absence of eyes. Imagine the life one has to live without seeing the beauty of rising sun, deprived of enjoyment of observing the beauty of blooming flowers and even unable to see the face of his mother.

Through proper training provided to the blind can not of course provide them eyes but can make them self reliant and self dependent. For this purpose all social working institutes will have to come further. Realizing the painful sufferings of the blind,this School was started, with merely 2 children on 15th August 1977 in Jodhpur. It had only two blind students at initials but the number of which has gone to 514 at present.

Netraheen Vikas Sansthan is working for rehabilitation of blind, deaf & dumb and mentally restarted students since last 35 years in Suncity Jodhpur by providing free education with boarding and lodging facility for Boys & Girls Separately.

Appeal - Jodhpur Blind school always welcomes to those persons, businesses, NGOs & other institutions who are devoted towards the motive of welfare of any physically or mentally retired children or students. It has its own constitution & registered with Registrar of Societies and also anyone giving help to this society will enjoy exemption from income tax under section 80-G.

At present we are having 514 blind children and 61 deaf & dumb and mentally retarded students with us. Many more blind children are in need of proper care & education, but we are unable to admit them because of shortage of school & hostel accommodation, additional play grounds, additional teachers & house keeping staff, furniture and other infrastructure facilities. It has its own constitution and also anyone giving help to this society will enjoy exemption from income tax under 80-G.

Financial help which we get from the state Government is not sufficient to meet the growing needs and expenditure of this Institute. The respected donors are the only hope for us to meet the gap.
