Boldon James and SecuPi Partner to Enable End-to-End Classification for Enterprise Data
SecuPi for Classifier to automatically and accurately classify documents as they are being exported from enterprise applications.
Washington, D.C., June 12, 2017 (Newswire.com) - QinetiQ’s data security company Boldon James, the leading provider of data classification and secure messaging solutions, and SecuPi, a leading cybersecurity company providing data-centric security solutions for business applications, today announced the integration of SecuPi for Classifier for classification of reports and exported files.
This integrated solution combines Boldon James Classifier with the SecuPi platform to enhance data classification coverage and mitigate the risk posed by one of the most common sources of sensitive documents within an organization — namely data originating from within enterprise applications. The solution provides full traceability on which sensitive data is exposed at the point of document export, while automatically classifying and tagging the documents.
"We are delighted to announce this integration with SecuPi ensuring that structured data and data downloaded into an unstructured environment is seamlessly protected. With our combined solution, enterprises are now able to enhance data protection and demonstrate compliance, ensuring sensitive data is adequately protected throughout its lifecycle, regardless of whether it is created by a user or generated by an enterprise application."
Martin Sugden, CEO, Boldon James
With Boldon James and SecuPi, customers will be able to increase their document classification coverage automatically, at time of creation, as well as improving the accuracy of classifications based on context and data sources. The addition of persistent classification metadata during the process ensures that classification labels are consistently applied and enforced by downstream applications and processes. The combined solution will also allow support for multiple data protection and compliance classifications — for example, to reflect PCI, PII and GDPR needs.
Martin Sugden, CEO at Boldon James, commented: “Given the risks presented by extracting structured data from enterprise applications — for example, downloading a customer list from a CRM system or employee list from your HR system — it is vital organizations identify and protect all forms of sensitive data. We are delighted to announce this integration with SecuPi ensuring that structured data and data downloaded into an unstructured environment is seamlessly protected. With our combined solution, enterprises are now able to enhance data protection and demonstrate compliance, ensuring sensitive data is adequately protected throughout its lifecycle, regardless of whether it is created by a user or generated by an enterprise application. The partnership with SecuPi further demonstrates Boldon James’ leadership in the data classification market and continued commitment to developing our technology partner ecosystem to deliver greater value to our customers.”
Alon Rosenthal, SecuPi CEO and Co-founder, said: “We are very pleased to form a technology partnership with Boldon James. We look forward to providing customers with the extraordinary value of automatic file classification that is safer and requires significantly less efforts to apply.” Rosenthal also highlighted the value for GDPR compliance: “This collaboration is especially powerful at this critical time of GDPR compliance. In order to be fully compliant, companies must classify all of its sensitive data, whether structured or unstructured. This collaboration brings the best of both worlds, allowing companies to comply with less effort and in a timely manner.”
