Bonnington Plastics Expand Range of Electric Heaters in Response to Weather
The cold weather saw a surge in consumer interest for heating products, one expected to increase with the second forecasted cold snap. In response, Bonnington Plastics are expanding their range of electric heaters to meet demand.
Online, February 6, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Families across the UK have been subjected to unnaturally extreme weather over the past four months. The tail end of 2012 saw extensive flooding and rainfall across the UK. 2012 in fact became the second wettest year the UK had ever seen and the wettest in English history, all this despite a major drought in early spring.
Following on from that the UK suffered overwhelmingly cold temperatures during the start of 2013, with large parts of the country shut down due to ice and snow. Weather predictions forecast the country has a good chance of seeing similar weather occur a second time before the end of February, and Bonnington Plastics is preparing accordingly by expanding their range of electric heaters, which saw widespread sales during the previous cold snap.
Almost all homes come with central heating as standard, yet during a lengthy cold period it can prove prohibitively expensive. Heating takes a number of hours to make a house habitable, and in homes which are left empty during work and school it can be terribly inefficient to pre heat the home before the family returns to occupy it. In small homes it can be both faster and cheaper to heat a single room using an electrical, portable heater.
Bonnington Plastics now supply three primary heater variants, these being convection heaters, oil radiators and halogen heaters. Each has its own benefits, and they advise retailers to widely invest in all three and market them according to their customers' needs. Convection heaters function by moving hot air around the room. They're incredibly fast but create a dry environment, and once switched off the temperature quickly drops. Oil radiators function similarly to normal radiators, circulating hot liquid around their structure. They're cheaper than actual radiators and require less energy, but are similarly slow. Halogen heaters quickly heat the area they're pointed at, and slowly warm the rest of the room. They possess the lowest energy cost of the three variants, though can be uncomfortably bright at times.
A representative from the company took the time to comment on the expansion of their stock. "Winter is an expensive time in the UK. We routinely prove to be as ill-prepared for freezing temperatures as we are for hot ones. Having a quick, cheap, and convenient way to heat yourself up without running up the water and gas bills is very useful, and we expect to see even more consumer interest in electric heaters this month."
Bonnington Plastics are currently based in Nottingham, having spent the past 45 years importing high quality home wars and gardening accessories for wholesale distribution across the UK.
