Book Reading and Signing with Lisa Manzione, Author of the Award-Winning Series, The Adventures of Bella and Harry

Online, April 19, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Boca Raton, Fla- The Boca Raton Children's Museum is hosting award-winning author, Lisa Manzione, for a book reading and signing of her children's book series, The Adventures of Bella & Harry, along with illustrator, Kristine Lucco. Bring your children for a fun-filled afternoon on Sunday, April 29 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. as Lisa takes them on a journey with two globetrotting Chihuahuas to popular locales such Paris, Venice and London. After the readings, children are invited to enjoy three craft stations and create exciting pieces of art representing each of the cities they just explored!

This book reading is open to the public. The museum is accepting $10 donations per family for this educational and family-friendly event! After the book reading and crafts, guests will receive free admission to explore all museum exhibits, beginning at 3:30 p.m.

The Adventures of Bella and Harry, which debuted in February 2011, chronicles the humorous tales of a young and spunky Chihuahua, Bella, and her little brother, Harry, as they travel with their human owners to exotic locales around the world. By introducing children to foreign customs, history, landmarks and languages at an early age, the series stimulates children's imaginations and fosters a thirst for understanding the world in which they live. The series will be taking to the stage with Let's Visit London! debuting on the roster for the Broward Center for the Performing Arts' 2012/2013 season.

The book series will be available for purchase after the reading so that children can bring a bit of the magic home with them for $16.95 per book. Five percent of book proceeds benefit the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty for Animals, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation. The event will take place at The Boca Raton Children's Museum in the Rickards House, located at 498 Crawford Boulevard, Boca Raton.
