Boomerang Hotels Sells GuestHouse International and Settle Inn Brands To Focus On Hotel Development
Hendersonville, April 23, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Boomerang Hotels announces the sale of its franchise brands GuestHouse International and Settle Inn & Suites to RLHC (Red Lion Hotel Corporation).
After the transition period, Boomerang Hotels will shift its focus from a franchise company to a development company. The organization’s original partners will remain intact as the company completes the transition. New projects are anticipated to include the development of at least six RLHC Hotel RL branded properties.
"This is an incredibly positive move for both Boomerang Hotels and RLHC. When you combine distribution maps for the RLHC brands and ours, the acquisition makes perfect sense" says Boomerang Hotels CEO, Brendan Watters. "This transaction will benefit our GuestHouse and Settle Inn franchisees by creating a larger network, with no tier overlap, that boasts a combined strength to drive reservations through a truly national franchise system."
Brendan Watters, CEO
Boomerang Hotels original founders and the current Board of Directors, Brendan Watters, Richard Mahoney and Jeffrey Lamont of Lamont Companies, Inc. will be heavily involved in the development, management and construction of the group’s properties in key markets.
“This transaction represents a really incredible combination of two differently tiered and already very successful hotel franchise companies that will both gain a tremendous amount from each other,” stated Jeff Lamont of Lamont Companies, Inc. “We are very excited to move onto our next phase with Boomerang Hotels which will include many new development and construction hotel deals.”
As a development group, Boomerang Hotels will focus on both select and full service upscale hotels in primary markets that will include ground up development, re-positioning properties through acquisition, and adaptive re-use projects.
