BOOMERS: The Musical announces anticipated Broadway 2012 run

The Voice of the Boomers Generation has found its voice!

Former Rocker turned newcomer writer and composer Peter Baron is taking his musical, BOOMERS: Promises Made, Not Kept, to Broadway in 2012.

BOOMERS has been playing the East Coast for the last 7 years from readings to festivals to full-scale regional productions.

BOOMERS, according to press notes, is "an album of glamour shots and autopsy photos of a Baby Boomer's journey over the Seas of Living, and Across the Generational Divide, in an epic quest for the Great American Dream."

"It's about dreams we had that we never fulfilled," says Baron, "promises we intended to keep with our very best intentions...soon to realize we grew up too soon and the world was a different place. What we thought was important then was child's play now. What went around, came around, and we were stuck with baggage. So, we dropped it in our children's laps."

"There's nothing like it on the stage now," says Christopher Massimine, one of the producers, "and I don't think there ever will be after it. Peter's writing and musical styling is second to none-- he has really captured the essence of that post-WWII generation that embodied the faults inherited by the three decades of transition to follow while halting to the stranglehold of the pre-Boomers generation. It was a world divided then, morals and ethic split right between the middle, and everything is question."
