Bordeaux Is Back, Wine Prices Have Increased Significantly

In recent years, many wines from the Bordeaux have lost value or stayed on their price levels. Especially the highly rated vintages such as 2005 and 2009 were affected.

The will of the wine reviewer, especially Robert Parker as well as IWC, Decanter, Wine Spectator and many others had, unfortunately, had nothing to do with reality or the price expectations of wineries.
Even with the fascinating wines from Bordeaux there is a limit, which rarely exceed the customer.
Open letters of the London Wine Merchant to the Chateau's in Bordeaux, with the request to reduce prices, became ineffective. So lots of customers or dealers who have bought their wines in the subscription, owned great wines, that often lost value.
Suddenly the world was upside down and Robert Parker was some time in China.
In recent months, however, the tide has turned in wine auctions world wide.
Wines all ovre the world have increased value by up to 20% per year.
The wines from Burgundy and Italy but also Champagne and German berry - and dryberry selections from JJ Prum, Egon Müller, Robert Weil recorded incredible price increases.
Now the wines from the Bordeaux reappear in a different light, are even almost cheap compared to the Egon Müller, Domaine Romanee Conti, Henry Jayer or Armand Rousseau.
Prices are rising again in, for wine price analysts so typical, undulations.
