Silico Corporation: A New Technology Company is Growing its Payroll
Online, August 2, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Cleveland, Ohio, August 2, 2010-Silico Corporation, a technology and service company started in early 2010, is growing its workforce. In January, Silico announced it received a significant investment from a group of Taiwanese investors. "Silico is managed very carefully and will only add to the direct workforce as required by sales," stated John M. Cachat, President and CEO of Silico. "Due to the volume of opportunities, it was essential to add a key executive position and individuals to support marketing, sales and professional services."
Tim Fallon, Vice President of Operations, holds the second executive position. Prior to joining Silico, Fallon was Vice President at IQS, Inc., the company Cachat founded over 20 years ago. He was responsible for the IQS Value Added Reseller and Partner Program where he worked with a consistently growing VAR Channel to develop alliances and partnerships. Prior to IQS, Fallon started his own successful distribution company after working for IBM.
The new Marketing and Communications Specialist, Cathy Bajic, is conducting a viral marketing campaign integrating social media and online resources, in addition to traditional marketing tactics. Shelly Bird, the new Inside Sales Representative, builds and maintains relationships with clients to drive profitable results.
The professional services position has been filled by Senior Technical Consultant, Jim Bird, who has many years of consulting experience. He was the former services consultant of IQS Inc., but most recently, Bird was a contract business analyst in the healthcare industry. He also earned experience as a business analyst for a Tier One automotive supplier managing the QAD MfgPro ERP system and IQS application.
Silico has received several phone calls from IQS, Inc. customers. "The IQS customers look to Cachat for vision and leadership. He is a trusted advisor and the IQS customer base looks to him for guidance," stated Fallon. "Several of Silico's initial customers are IQS customers. In addition, Silico is leveraging the relationships Cachat and I have with the QAD and Epicor customer base." QAD and Epicor are large international software companies that have relied on Cachat for his subject matter expertise. Fallon managed the partnership with QAD and Epicor, and is effectively re-introducing Cachat into those sales channels.
Silico is also leveraging an extensive network of independent consultants. Many excellent people have been unable to find work and Silico is providing an opportunity for them to start or expand their own business. The next Business Associate Program meeting will be held on August 26th. For more information, contact Cathy Bajic at 440-333-9900 or [email protected].
Silico's new and diverse team of established business professionals promises more successful business endeavors for the company. Cachat stated, "I have confidence our new team of employees will represent Silico in a dynamic and outstanding manner, which will strengthen our role in the industry and business world."
