Brands OnTap has discovered and is reporting that Bob Dylan, singer, songwriter, and author, has filed a Trademark application intending to use the brand new brand, "Bootleg Whiskey"
Delray Beach, FL, December 1, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Brands OnTap, a breaking news source on new and upcoming brands, has discovered a trademark filing that singer-songwriter Bob Dylan is seeking to brand “Bootleg Whiskey” in connection with whiskey spirits. According to a Brands OnTap Video News Bulletin, the public information was obtained from the United States Patent and Trademark Office and was filed by Bob Dylan November 17, 2015.
Singer-songwriter Bob Dylan has been a major influence in music and culture for more than five decades and has sold more than 100 million records, making him one of the best-selling recording artists of all time and also considered to be the most bootlegged artist in rock history which are the unreleased performances by Dylan, that have been circulated throughout the public without undergoing an official, sanctioned release.
Since 1991, Dylan had begun to turn Bootleg into a brand by officially releasing The Bootleg Series Volumes 1–3. Earlier this month Sony Music released Vol. 12 of The Bootleg Series called The Cutting Edge representative of Dylan's work in 1965–1966.
