Branson, MO, Non-Profit Hosts 16th Annual Love Your Neighbors Thanksgiving Day Meal

BRANSON, Mo., November 8, 2023 (Newswire.com) - A Missouri-based non-profit, Elevate Branson, is hosting their annual Thanksgiving Day Lunch on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 23, from 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. CST at a local parish center in Branson, Missouri. The non-profit invites their local community to attend and enjoy a Thanksgiving meal at no cost. This year’s Thanksgiving Day feast is Elevate Branson’s 16^th annual event, where residents of the area who have nowhere to spend Thanksgiving or no means to prepare a conventional Thanksgiving meal are invited to enjoy a meal for free and spend the holiday with their community.  

“This a communal event, where we get to share a meal and connect with our neighbors in our community,” mentions CEO and Co-Founder of Elevate Branson, Bryan Stallings. “We started hosting Thanksgiving for our neighbors in 2008 when we noticed that individuals and families residing in extended stay motels and those experiencing homelessness did not have the means to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal, and many often had nowhere to go and no one else to spend the holiday with. We want to provide a warm and welcoming environment where people can enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal and feel a sense of belonging. Everyone is invited to spend part of their Thanksgiving Day with us.”

The community is also encouraged to participate by providing food and other items through available sponsorship opportunities, including plates, tables, routes for picking up individuals and families who do not have transportation, and more. Volunteer opportunities are also available for those looking for ways to serve and give back on Thanksgiving Day. Funding generated for this event not only helps offset expenses for providing Thanksgiving meals to struggling individuals in the community, but also contributes to supporting Elevate Branson’s programs and services beyond just the holiday season, including their workforce development, affordable housing, and transportation initiatives.
