Breaking Glass Pictures' Vicious Circle Films Takes A Feminine Approach To The Vampire Genre
'Temptation' - the award-winning tale of a woman's struggle against a vampire curse - comes to DVD next month.
Online, May 20, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Philadelphia, PA - Maintaining its reputation for reinventing expectations, Breaking Glass Pictures announces the June 29 DVD release of Catherine Taylor's lesbian-tinged vampire film 'Temptation' under the Vicious Circles Films label. 'Temptation' is a horror film that takes the usual sultry allure of vampire vixens and cranks it up to full blast. Set in the gothic, nighttime cityscape of London, the film is destined to earn cult status among horror buffs and anyone with a liking for scantily-clad, Amazonian dominatrixes.
It all starts when the sweet but sassy Isabel (Caroline Haines) falls victim to a rapist in a dingy back alley after a night of partying. In swoops Aurelie (Rachel Waters), a fanged femme fatale who ably slaughters the hapless pervert and saves Isabel the only way she knows how - by sucking her blood.
So begins Isabel's involuntary initiation into a libertine gang of lady vampires. It's only a matter of time before she ascends to V.I.P. status at Temptation - the Moulin Rouge of the vampire underworld - and her former savior Aurelie becomes her worst enemy. Ultimately, Isabel must face a morbid dilemma: does she take her own life and end her vampire curse or give in to her thirst for blood?
With the addition of 'Temptation' to Breaking Glass Pictures' growing repertoire of slick, rebellious horror films like 'Sympathy' and 'Someone's Knocking at the Door,' the company is starting to make a name for itself as a revolutionizing force in the horror genre. Expect 'Temptation' to both win your heart and put a stake through it once it sees the light of day.
