​Brean Capital, LLC today announces the addition of Yun Kim, as Senior Research Analyst covering Software Companies. We are excited for Mr. Kim to join our team. He is a seasoned professional who has followed numerous software sectors over his career, including Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), cloud, big data, security, infrastructure, business intelligence, networking, supply-chain, customer relationship management (CRM), and Internet-of-Things (IoT). By leveraging his industry knowledge and technical background, his research efforts are focused on uncovering the latest market trends and formulating investment thesis based on these trends. For instance, he sees an opportunity for next-generation infrastructure software companies to emerge to better manage and secure current on-premise and cloud-based deployments that are increasingly getting more complex. He has evaluated and advised numerous private companies over the years regarding their growth strategy, market positioning, and business development ideas.

Yun Kim is a Senior Research Analyst covering Software. His sell-side research experience spans more than 15 years with various firms including Jefferies, Janney Capital Markets, ThinkEquity, and Gleacher & Co. Prior to embarking on his Wall Street career, Yun was a consultant with Accenture in its e-commerce, supply-chain, and SAP practices. Yun received a BS degree in Bioengineering from University of California at Berkeley, a BA degree in Economics from University of California at Santa Cruz, and a MS degree in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University.
