Bristol Toyota Scion Near Providence Supports Toyota's Nature Intiative

Online, July 24, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Bristol Toyota Scion supports Toyotas new initiative asking drivers to Exit the Highway and take a more scenic route this summer. Drivers who take the pledge can win a 2012 Prius v. Pat Pineda, Group Vice President of National Philanthropy and the Toyota Foundation states that the interstate system is efficient, fast, and convenient for far drives, but scenic routes are beautiful and are made to make memories.

Toyota teamed up with the National Audubon Society, whose mission surrounds wildlife and the environment, to reward nature seekers for spending more time with nature.

The initiative highlights almost 100 nature destinations in over 60 cities. For every driver who pledges to "Exit the Highway" or takes a photo at a nature stop and shares it online will be entered to win a Toyota Prius v. The Prius v is a hybrid with more cargo space making it the perfect vehicle for all environmentally-friendly family road trips.

To join Toyota and the Audobon society take the nature pledge at ExitTheHighway.com or Causes.com/Toyota. After pledging, nature seekers can take pictures and share with #exitthehighway on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. People who pledge can also view green itineraries on a Google map of all the exit stops, including 70 that are free to the public.

Although Bristol Toyota Scion encourages all drivers to get out and drive, Exit the Highway already made an itinerary for Providences' backyard. The New England itinerary has a list of 5 stops including Wellesley College which is only 40 miles outside of Providence in Massachusetts. Their campus includes a science center, botanical garden and arboretum for travelers to explorer all different kinds of nature and wildlife.
