BroadRamp Issues Four Cease and Desist Letters to Several Companies and Former Employees Regarding IP Infringements

SAN ANTONIO - Executives with BroadRamp announced today they had issued four cease and desist letters to three Texas companies as well as one Canadian company - Streamami, Inc., Frontline Systems, Inc., BroadFaith, LLC and ORTOO of Edmonton, Cana

Sean Darwish, chief executive officer of BroadRamp, had his legal department send the letters after saying he learned Greg Nakagawa, the former CEO of the firm, was claiming that Streamami had developed new intellectual property developed after he left the company.

"When we learned that Nakagawa was claiming that Streamami was attempting to raise funds in Austin and claiming that his firm had developed new processes, we had to begin legal action," Darwish said. "There's nothing new or unique about Streamami's offering. It's our intellectual property with a different name to it."

Last year, a San Antonio federal bankruptcy court awarded the intellectual property Darwish developed back to him. Shortly after Nakagawa began the administrative to put BroadRamp into bankruptcy proceedings, he formed Streamami, and began publicizing that his firm had created new technology such as webHD, v-Commerce and MMDS. Darwish said those intellectual properties were the same as WebHD tm, VidCommerce and MCDStm that he had developed as BroadRamp's founder and chief technology officer .

Businesses that have been approached by the four firms are asked to contact BroadRamp executive leadership directly about the technology and the licenses held with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

"We had to take all steps needed to protect our intellectual property," Darwish said. "We cannot possibly sit idly by and let former executives or partners infringe on our patents, trademark and technology," he said.

The BroadRamp executive added he is waiting to hear the response from the four companies or their attorneys.
