The tour kicks off in Portland, Oregon on March 28th at In Other Words bookstore (featured in IFC's "Portlandia") and continues to take the northwest natives to New York and back. This tour includes dates in both the U.S. and Canada.
The tour includes over 40 venues, including two festivals. Broken Water will perform at DNA Fest in Baltimore on April 16th and the Free Range Music Festival in Belfast, ME on April 30th.

They are excited to be releasing their third record "Peripheral Star", on Perennial, this spring.
About Broken Water:
Broken Water is a three piece shoegaze rock band from Olympia, WA formed in August 2008 and heavily influenced by the local music scene there from the 1990's to present. The band consists of award winning filmmaker and drummer Kanako Wynkoop and guitarist Jon Hanna of SISTERS (Parts Unknown Records) combined with the raw power of bassist Abigail Ingram of CONGRATULATIONS. Broken Water often screens found film footage or experimental video shot by Kanako Wynkoop during their shows. In August of 2009 they self-released a two track 7 inch with DIY letterpress packaging and a 6 song demo CD. In March 2010 their full length album "Whet" was released on vinyl by Night People, and on CD by Radio is Down.
