Brookfield Homes Introduces Three New Northern California Communities in 2012
Online, July 3, 2012 (Newswire.com) - With increasing rent, rising sales and the success of the local technology industry, real estate in the Bay Area is steadily returning to pre-recession levels. High demand for homes in the region has led to a 40% reduction in standing inventory, according to 24/7 Wall St., leaving a considerable opening in the residential market. Now, after patiently waiting for the right time to build, California builder Brookfield Homes is prepared and eager to fill this gap.
The company, which is now building in full force, has announced that 2012 will see the grand openings of three new Brookfield Homes communities in locations throughout the Bay Area, from San Jose in the Silicon Valley to Dublin in the Tri-Valley area. By building in thriving areas with high demand, Brookfield plans to bring new homes where they're needed most as well as provide residents with a convenient location, prestigious school districts and a sought-after community environment.
"Right now the Bay Area is seeing a great need for housing, and we took that as a sign to build," said John Ryan, president of Brookfield Homes Bay Area. "It was important for Brookfield to buy land and build in areas where people want to live. We took great care to seek out the best locations and plan each neighborhood according to the needs of today's homebuyers."
Brookfield will re-enter the Northern California market with the opening of Westbury in San Jose. The community, which will unveil model homes in early July, will offer new single-family homes from the mid $600,000s, with floor plans featuring from 1,660 to 2,159 square feet and up to four bedrooms. In addition to its central location near downtown San Jose, Westbury is also situated near major area freeways and mass transit, offering residents easy access to employment opportunities as well as outstanding school districts, dining, recreation and entertainment.
This July, Brookfield will continue to fill housing demand with the debut of two new Build It Green™ rated neighborhoods, Windwood and Mariposa at family-friendly Jordan Ranch in Dublin. Windwood will introduce a collection of single-family residences measuring 2,254 to 2,682 square feet with as many as five bedrooms while the larger Mariposa homes will feature approximately 2,971 to 3,436 square feet and offer as many as five bedrooms. Both new communities are convenient to award-winning schools, area freeways, BART and local transportation as well as Silicon Valley employers. Pricing for these residences is expected to start from the high $600,000s at Windwood and from the high $700,000s at Mariposa.
In addition to building in the most desirable Bay Area locations, Brookfield also goes to great lengths to preserve the environment. All materials used during the building process are sorted and recycled, and additional trees are planted on site. Brookfield Homes features that conserve natural resources include landscaping, which offers master-controlled rain-sensitive irrigation, as well as radiant barriers and optional solar energy systems for an eco-friendly, sustainable way of life.
"At Brookfield Homes we care about the homes and communities we build. They must be livable, be sustainable, provide desirable community amenities and be accessible to local conveniences. Each home style is carefully crafted and quality built to meet and exceed the high standards of our homebuyers. We are proud to present three new neighborhoods this summer and several others in 2013," commented John Ryan.
Brookfield Homes plans to build more new home communities throughout the Bay Area, several of which are slated to open in 2013, including Brookside in South San Jose and Belcourt in Milpitas.
Situated in South San Jose's Almaden Valley neighborhood, Brookside will offer a new collection of single-family homes priced from the $1 millions. With impressive amenities and interior features and a location within the distinguished Los Gatos Union School District, residences will range from 2,393 to 3,186 square feet and include four to five bedrooms and four baths.
Brookfield's Belcourt neighborhood will bring 80 new two-story single-family homes to the city of Milpitas. Floor plans will range from approximately 2,057 to 2,227 square feet, and each home will offer easy access to freeways, business centers, area amenities, renowned schools and more.
