Brouwer Brothers Steamatic Receives 50-Year Longevity Award at 2018 International Convention
ALSIP, Ill., August 2, 2018 (Newswire.com) - Steamatic franchise owners and employees from around the world convened in Fort Worth, Texas, recently for the 2018 Steamatic International Convention. The convention’s “Golden Opportunity!” theme perfectly fit the info-packed, high-energy event.
The convention speakers included industry leaders from Contractor Connection, Alacrity, CLEANFAX and Violand Management Associates. The three-day agenda was also filled with informative breakout sessions, franchise lead panels and focused training courses. The Wednesday event included a full-day international meeting attended by owners from eight countries.
An interesting fact is that the Brouwer brothers introduced the steam extraction carpet cleaning process and one of their first large commercial carpet cleaning projects was cleaning the AstroTurf in-field of the White Sox's old Comiskey Ball Park.

Steamatic’s president, Stefan Figley, opened Saturday morning’s general session by providing the future vision for the Steamatic system. “Increased tools and resources from franchise support, revamped franchise development and growth are all part of the Steamatic future,” said Figley during his address.
The convention concluded with an awards banquet where several franchise owners were recognized for their performance and time with the franchise system. Rick Brouwer of Brouwer Brothers Steamatic from the Chicagoland area was one of four owners receiving the Longevity Award for 50 years in business. Brouwer Brothers Steamatic opened their doors in 1968 by brothers John and Mick Brouwer. The company is thriving today because of the brothers' steadfastness and their legacy carries on with Mick’s son Rick Brouwer at the helm.
“An interesting fact is that the Brouwer brothers introduced the steam extraction carpet cleaning process and one of their first large commercial carpet cleaning projects was cleaning the AstroTurf in-field of the White Sox’s old Comiskey Ball Park,” said current owner Rick Brouwer. Over the years, Brouwer Brothers Steamatic has diversified into the Chicago area’s largest full-service 24/7/365 restoration, cleaning and construction companies and the largest franchise of Steamatic Inc.
Steamatic has already started preparations for their next convention to be held in the summer of 2020 in Florida. They hope to have another amazing turnout.
