Brown Transfer Co. Hands Off Bill Processing To DDC FPO
The Heartland's No. 1 carrier has completed the hand off of its BOL processing to freight data capture experts DDC FPO.
Online, April 19, 2013 (Newswire.com) - DDC FPO, a world leader in freight process outsourcing, has officially completed the rollout phase of bill data capture operations for Brown Transfer Company, a top LTL carrier based in the Midwest.
Brown Transfer faced many of the same issues that other large logistics providers deal with in data entry: High turnover rate, expensive monitoring, decentralized organization and inefficiencies throughout.
According to Brown Transfer's Trevor Aden, Director of Business Development, the carrier looked to outsource its data entry to eliminate unnecessary time and costs. "Operationally," Aden said, "We wanted to get the bills in as quickly as possible: Scanned, entered and onto worrying about LTL transportation."
To resolve this issue, Brown reached out to DDC FPO. "We spoke with some peers and partners in the industry that we respect," Aden stated, "and realized quickly that DDC was the best option."
DDC FPO digitizes, captures and processes bills of lading, invoices and other critical documents for companies across the global freight industries. The firm is excited to now be part of the Brown Transfer success story, keying 5,800 bills per week for the carrier at an average 98% accuracy rate.
"Brown is at the forefront of trucking in the Midwest," stated DDC FPO President Art Zipkin. "We look forward to providing continued business process improvement and process standardization for the Heartland's No. 1 carrier."
Brown has seen immense improvements in data entry efficiencies since bringing DDC FPO on board. "For the whole of the company, business is completed much, much quicker," Aden explained. "At the end of the day, instead of worrying about the bills, we are focused on our core business."
