The heart of CUE is an 8-inch LCD touch screen, but CUE also features an available 12.3-inch LCD gauge cluster that can be customized into one of four possible screen layouts. The lay outs in the gauge cluster can display a variety of vehicle data, including: fuel levels, speed, navigation, and phone and entertainment information.

Controlling the CUE's touch screen is made easy through Cadillac's innovative technology. To make driver interactions with CUE safe and simple, Cadillac has applied the touch screen feel that is common in smartphones and tablets. As the driver's finger approaches the screen CUE senses it, and reacts to any gestures. CUE also flaunts multi-touch dynamics. If the driver wants to make something larger, he/she can simply touch the screen with two fingers and spread them apart to expand the image.

CUE is able to access every contact and song on up to 10 Bluetooth enabled to devices, and drivers are able to set up to 60 favorites from radio stations and phone numbers, to addresses and vehicle commands. CUE also has an intuitive 3-D GPS Navigation system that has map-integrated Doppler weather reports and features Natural Voice Recognition, which allows the driver to speak naturally and makes interaction with the system simple and effortless.

Safety has always been a priority of Cadillac's and this effort is heightened with the CUE system. CUE offers many features that allow drivers to keep their eyes on the road, and off their other devices. CUE automatically cumulates music from all devices into a single list so that drivers are able to access it by speaking a simple song command. CUE is also able to keep Cadillac drivers safely in the know by reading their text message to them through the sound system. OnStar emergency response is also standard for one year with the CUE system.
