Call for Entries to Springbrook's Gifts Unwrapped Art Show
Springbrook invites all artists to participate in the annual Springbrook Community Art Show: Gifts Unwrapped!
Oneonta, NY, October 27, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Attention all artists - new, experienced or anywhere in-between! Springbrook invites you to participate in the organization's annual community art show - Gifts Unwrapped!
Submissions will be accepted until November 27, 2015. Accepted mediums include: drawing/illustration, painting, photography, and ceramics/sculpture.
Along with their submission, artists are asked to include a brief statement about their inspiration for the piece. Because Springbrook wishes to include as many pieces as possible, the organization asks for only one submission per artist.
Artists are asked to submit an entry form prior to delivering artwork. Pieces will not be accepted for drop-off without an entry form on file. Those entering a piece can access the entry form and more details, including complete submission guidelines, on Springbrook’s website at: http://www.springbrookny.org/news/attend-an-event/gifts-unwrapped-artshow/submission-guidelines/
The Gifts Unwrapped Art Show will provide artists with an opportunity to show their work while supporting Springbrook’s mission to support choice, opportunity, and community connections. The show is a way for our community to celebrate the power of art to cross boundaries. Artists of all ages and every ability are welcomed to participate in this event and each individual entry makes the show stronger and more unique.
The Gifts Unwrapped Art Show will run from December 3 to December 11, 2015 with an opening reception on December 3, 2015 from 5:30PM to 7:00PM. The reception and show are free and open to the public.
Any questions can be directed to Springbrook’s art therapist, Heather Chauncey, at 607.286.7171 x370 or [email protected].
