Call Global Announces Free iPhone App for Virtual International Phone Numbers that Ring to Any iPhone
A new iPhone app makes it possible to have a phone number in any eligible country enabling calls from that country to ring to an iPhone in the U.S., thanks to a free iPhone app just announced by Call Global.
Online, February 22, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Plant City, FL - Call Global has announced an innovative service made available through a free iPhone app that enables any U.S. iPhone user to have a phone number in another eligible country that is answered on the user's U.S. iPhone.
The Call Global web site at http://www.CallGlobalApp.com provides a list of eligible countries and details of the service.
There is no limit to the number of virtual phone numbers or countries they are located in, all ringing to the same U.S. iPhone, according to John Gill, chief operating officer of Call Global.
"International calls to the virtual phone numbers you create bypass the cell carriers and connect calls over the Call Global network and ring directly to your U.S. iPhone. The Call Global Network provides HD call quality, yet does this at a fraction of the cost of the cell carriers," said Gill. "Instead of having just your regular U.S. cell phone number, you can now have many numbers that all connect directly to your cell from any country where you have friends, family, or customers for your business," he explained.
The first 2 million customers to download the free app also receive a $2 credit for making international calls. Details and the free download are available at the company web site. Some international calls are free, and many cost as little as $0.01 per minute, so the $2 credit can provide hours of international calling.
Each call made to a virtual international phone number is routed directly to the U.S. iPhone, which means customers only need one actual phone to handle all calls, and the one voicemail box on the U.S. iPhone makes it easy to monitor all missed calls.
Call Global currently offers a free iPhone app, and will soon offer the same app for Blackberry and Android phones as well, according to Gill.
Users report the call quality is truly HD quality, and much better than other apps offering a similar service. Other iPhone apps only work inside a WI-FI zone, but the Call Global app enables calls to be made from any location because it works both inside and outside of WI-FI zones.
