Campbell Thermography to Provide Thermographic Imaging of Ohio State University Campus

The imagery will be used to analyze steam system efficiency, find leaks in the steam lines, evaluate the condition of the roofs, and look for energy loss in the buildings. Thermographic imaging is an essential tool for efficient roof repairs.

Ann Arbor, Michigan based thermal imaging company Campbell Thermography LLC, in partnership with UniversityScanIR, has reached an agreement with The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH to provide aerial infrared thermography imaging of the university's campus. The imagery will be used to analyze steam system efficiency, find leaks in the steam lines, evaluate the condition of the roofs, and look for energy loss in the buildings.

Campbell Thermography is an infrared service company, providing professional assessment services to building owners and property managers nationwide. UniversityScanIR is a nationwide aerial infrared service company providing high definition thermographic imagery formatted to integrate into existing facility GIS databases.

Campbell Thermography is owned by William Campbell, a Level II Certified Infrared Thermographer with a background in engineering, physics and construction. According to Mr. Campbell, "Thermographic information is indispensable in locating costly leaks in buried steam lines. Savings from the repair of single steam leak often exceeds the cost of the entire project."

Mr. Campbell's company also performs on-ground building assessments such as energy surveys and on-roof infrared surveys of individual flat and low sloped roofs. "Thermographic imaging is an essential tool in getting roof repairs done efficiently without sending good roofing material to the landfill while getting wet, useless insulation replaced. Repair bills are reduced dramatically because bad areas are identified and repaired before problem areas get big and costly. Aerial thermographic surveying is 'the big hammer' when large or multiple flat roofs are being maintained by a single organization," states Mr. Campbell.
