Online, April 30, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Canadian-based AstraQom has just released a new and solid, branded business VoIP phone, the AQ-200. The high quality HD voice sound and ease of use make it a first choice for companies who are newly migrating from traditional PSTN telephone service to full-featured VoIP (voice over Internet) especially but also those who need to switch to a more business-friendly system. With 3 SIP lines, 1 IAX2 line, and a 128 by 96 Graphic backlit LCD, it affords an excellent business phone end user experience, flexibility, more productive personnel, and money savings.
"HD voice quality and a friendly user interface were our two main goals in branding our new AQ-200. It has a full-duplex speaker phone with advanced acoustic echo cancellation. With the voice gain setting and VAD features, it can offer the least noise possible in recording and can detect the absence of audio and conserve bandwidth by preventing the transmission of 'silent packets' over the network," Jonathan Sowah, CEO of AstraQom notes. "We studied and tested hundreds of possible phone types with a core group of early adopter customers. Each time, the AQ-200 VoIP phone was most often the top choice for appearance, ease of use, practical or innovative features and quality of communications experience."
The AQ-200 VoIP business phone includes web, telnet and keypad management; ability to upgrade firmware through HTTP, FTP or TFTP (Trivial File Transfer Protocol ); auto provisioning support, and 9 kinds of ring types as well as 5 user-defined music rings. For example, the choice of upgrade firmware via TFTP lends to automated transfer of configuration or boot files between machines in a local environment, taking up very little memory.
"Our AstraQom team recommends that businesses and enterprises consider three major points in their crucial VoIP phone purchases. Consider the company budget, how many phone lines are needed, and the most important features necessary to reach business goals. Communicate with AstraQom the answers to all three, so the team can meet your individual corporate plan," Lisa Lombard, AstraQom Customer Service Experience representative explains.
AQ-200 business phone has several features to choose from at no extra fee such as echo cancellation, DTMF-support and relay, softkeys, friendly graphic menu, 2 headset interfaces, 6 memory keys, and multi-language for localization realization. Other features that can be enabled including call forward and transfer, 3 way talking, conferencing, click to dial, flexible dial map, reject service, black listing, white listing, and do not disturb. Some even more innovative possibilities are make a call with Anonymous, dial without register and reject Anonymous call.
The AQ-200 VoIP phone's HD voice has some surprise qualities. First, typically, the bandwidth required for HD Voice is only 32 kbps which is half of what is required for traditional PSTN calls. Second, it will make phone calls much better sounding. In fact, the sound is close to that of an in-room conversation. As a result, conversations do not have to include broken or muffled sounding voices and dropped calls. The wideband audio technology transmits at a range of 50 Hz to 7 kHz, or higher which is much more compatible to the human voice than traditional bands. Because of up to 16,000 audio samples per second, the listener in the call hears more aspects of the voice from the speaker's end. Such can lead to a better understanding of the spoken message like more of the tone and inflection. Better understanding of communication leads to the greater potential for positive business development and experience.
