Canadian RiteRate's Brian Wikant Discusses How His Company Keeps Operating Costs and Gas Rates Low

Canadian RiteRate Energy Chief Operating Officer Brian Wikant discusses how his company keeps operating costs down so it can provide low natural gas rates for customers in the June issue of Energy Digital

(SAN DIEGO, CA)- Canadian RiteRate Energy Chief Operating Officer Brian Wikant unveils the company's business strategies on how to keep operating costs and gas rates low. In an interview with Energy Digital, Wikant reveals how the natural gas provider's online business model enables it to keep costs down and offer rates three to five cents lower than its competitors in the deregulated Ontario market.

"Our business is pretty straightforward; we educate customers. That's allowed us to post the lowest rate consistently over the last five years for people who want a fixed rate contract," Wikant said in the article. RiteRate sells natural gas at either a fixed rate or blended rate, and provides thorough, honest information on its website that gives customers current rates, blog posts and comparison graphs.

Canadian RiteRate Energy was founded by Tim Nerbas, Brian Wikant and John Belgue in 2004. It is the first natural gas company to offer a "blended rate" pricing option, as well as a "fixed rate" program. RiteRate is a Canadian Controlled Private Corporation and is a licensed by the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) to sell gas under license number GM-2008-0278.
