Cannoe Cannabis Opens Riverside Location
The popular cannabis retail experience expands its Toronto footprint with second location.
TORONTO, September 21, 2021 (Newswire.com) - Cannoe — a curated cannabis shopping experience — opened their second Toronto location, in Riverside. Taking center stage in the grand opening activities this past weekend was the unveiling of a beautiful mural as part of a charitable project by indigenous artist QueRock. Also in store over the weekend were Madge and Mercer, Coterie Cannabis and Olli Brands.
The new store's sister location in Summerhill has been warmly received in the community as the actualization of a retail philosophy that is high service, low ego, and people first. Cannoe's vision is to normalize and elevate their dispensaries to be genuinely loved and coveted neighbourhood shops. Their flexible and open atmosphere makes them ideal for a wide range of customers — from the first-timer to the knowledgeable enthusiast. Cannoe continues to make an effort to be a great addition to their communities by partnering with local organizations, businesses and charities to make a positive impact. "As a local, independent and entrepreneurial company we work to put community first. We really value the communities that we are joining, we focus on contributing in a meaningful way to them as they grow, evolve and change. It is important that we have a beneficial influence on those that live or work around our shops. We look forward to deepening our ties in each neighbourhood we join," noted Cannoe President, Matt McLeod.
"Cannoe's people-first approach has attracted the support of some amazing entrepreneurs who have built retail brands loved here in Canada and across the world. We are fortunate to call Michael Budman and Don Green, of Roots, as investors and advisors. You'd be hard-pressed to find people with more successful careers developing Canadian brands into global retail companies. We are honoured to have their support as we build Cannoe with a customer and community-centric approach. We are grateful to have incredibly experienced investors and advisors supporting the business and are leveraging their decades of lessons learned to make our cannabis retail experience the most enjoyable we can for everyone," McLeod added.
Cannoe continues growing their retail network, opening two additional Ontario-based locations by year end. Cannoe's third location will be at Queen and Dovercourt in Toronto and the fourth in Collingwood.
