Carden Academy Country Fair

Online, November 3, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Carden Academy of Mission Viejo invites the community to come and enjoy a day of good old fashioned family fun at its annual Carden Country Fair and Second Harvest OC Canned Food Drive. Entrance to the event is free and open to the public. Guests who bring 3 canned goods to donate will receive 5 free booth tickets!

Country music throughout the day will set the tone for a wide variety of activities fit for the whole family, including: giant slide, mechanical bull, bungee trampoline, line dancing, face painting, races, town jail and a variety of carnival games.

The "chuckwagon" will offer refreshments for purchase, and guests can also enjoy treats from the bake sale and cake walk.

All the booths at the fair are created and staffed by Carden Academy students and their families. "The Country Fair is a great example of our approach to service and community," said P.L. de Avila, director of Carden Academy. "Students are engaged in the planning, creating and staffing of the event, which provides them the opportunity to put their classroom skills into practice while serving their school."
