Care Angel, Creator of ANGEL, the World's First AI Powered Caregiving Assistant, Taps Telehealth Expert Darren Hay to Join Its Award-Winning Team

Care Angel, an AI powered virtual caregiver and heallthcare assistant platform, announced telehealth and telemonitoring expert Darren Hay has joined the company’s rapidly expanding senior leadership team as Chief Revenue Angel/Officer. Hay will focus on expanding Care Angel’s business development as well as sales and partnership activities. Care Angel, the innovative start-up venture that created the first artificial intelligence (AI)-powered caregiving solution, was launched in America and Canada earlier this year with a mission to support the more than 73 million North American family caregivers of older seniors who want to age-in-place.

Hay, a 22-year veteran of the telehealth market, has played an integral role in the development, launch and scaling of many of North America’s largest and most successful remote patient monitoring and telehealth initiatives. Prior to joining Care Angel, Hay held senior executive roles as Senior Vice President, Sales and Strategic Partnerships for IDEAL LIFE, an ADT subsidiary, Vice President, Professional Services and Telehealth for Canadian telecommunications leader Telus Communications and Vice President, Professional Services and Telehealth for Emergis.

"Darren is a health technology executive and entrepreneur who has been dedicated to developing stronger health systems through the acceleration of innovative technology. Hay has held additional advisory and board positions with McMaster University, Pathway Group, Kela Medical, Essential Accessibility and the Government of Ontario Centres of Excellence.

“Darren is a health technology executive and entrepreneur who has been dedicated to developing stronger health systems through the acceleration of innovative technology,” said Wolf Shlagman, Chief Angel and founder of Care Angel. “We’re thrilled to have him on our senior leadership team and know his experience and expertise will have immediate impact in building our Care Angel growth and influence.”

Care Angel uses a unique approach to remote care monitoring technology used to help older adults remain independent, healthy and productive. In addition to supporting the millions of family caregivers helping older or chronically ill loved ones remain independently at home as long as possible, Care Angel also provides health systems, health plans and employers the tools to better manage the health and well-being of their patients, members and employees.
