Carry On Restrictions
Do not pack liquids over 3 oz as they will be disposed of at security.
Do not pack any weapons, for obvious reasons.
You should make sure you know what is and is not allowed in your carry on. Your bag must fit below your seat or in the compartment above, be sure to measure your bag before you pack.
Regulations You Need To Know
There are many things you should know when you plan on flying and carrying luggage. From size and weight restrictions to what bags are allowed, suggested and how to properly label your luggage, knowing before you go can save you many hassles once you arrive. Below are a few of the regulations that you should know when packing your luggage to fly on your next vacation.
Do not use locks that are not approved by TSA. If your baggage must be checked for some reason and it is locked without an approved lock, they will cut off your lock. If you would like to avoid this, make sure you know which locks are approved by TSA.
Do not leave old baggage tags on your bag. Why risk confusing the airline. Make sure all old tags are removed before you arrive.
Itemize the contents of your luggage and its value. Most people will not have a problem, however, if for some reason your luggage does get lost, you should have a better chance of getting the value back if you have a list of what was included in your bag.
Your bag must be properly labeled with your name and address as well. This will help your luggage go where it needs to go.
If you have questions, call your airline or visit TSA.gov
If your baggage is lost or damaged, file a claim right away. In addition, there is a limit on the amount you may claim as damages and losses so be sure you do not pack anything that is too valuable as you may lose out in the long run.
