Carolyn Holloway Selected Grand Prize Winner of 4S Ranch Take Your Best Shot On-Line Amateur Photo Contest

Online, January 8, 2010 (Newswire.com) - 4S Ranch resident Carolyn Holloway has been selected as the $1,000 VISA Card Grand Prize Winner of the first-ever 4S Ranch Take Your Best Shot Amateur Photo Contest. Holloway's winning entry is posted at Facebook.com/4SRanch.

The on-line photo contest invited all amateur photographers to submit their best photographs depicting the sights, scenes and slices of life found within the master-planned North San Diego new home community of 4S Ranch. More than 70 photos were submitted and 712 votes cast. To enter, photographers became "fans" of 4S Ranch on Facebook and then submitted their photos to the contest board. Photos were then voted on by the page fans.

Carolyn Holloway's winning entry received 321 votes and depicts a serene trail behind Oak Valley Middle School, south of the 22-acre 4S Ranch Community Park. Holloway frequently walks the trail with a friend, and was inspired by the vibrant colors of fall foliage viewed from key sections of the trail.

"I love taking photos in 4S Ranch because there is so much to see and experience," said Holloway. "We enjoy the parks, the trails and the strong sense of community. We love riding bikes and exploring on the trails as well as having block parties with an awesome group of neighbors. Both my boys, Jason, 10, and Matthew, 7, are thrilled to have so many friends to play with on our cul de sac. Matthew plays baseball for 4S Ranch Little League and my husband, Jeff manages for his team. I'm really pleased that I was able to capture the beauty of 4S Ranch in my photograph"
