CARROLL, BURDICK & MCDONOUGH'S ROD ESHELMAN NAMED TO BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS BOARD
SAN FRANCISCO, May 17, 2010 - Rod Eshelman, a partner at Carroll, Burdick & McDonough LLP, a preeminent California-based litigation and business law firm with clients around the globe, has been named to the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of the North Bay. Big Brothers Big Sisters of the North Bay is a donor-supported, volunteer organization committed to positively impacting the lives of vulnerable children in Marin, Napa, Solano and Sonoma Counties. BBBS provides mentoring services to more than 1,500 at-risk kids ages six to 17, 85 percent of whom are children of single, low-income and/or incarcerated parents.

Eshelman focuses his practice on insurance coverage litigation, representing major insurers nationally in environmental and mass tort coverage litigation, including asbestos, tobacco, silica, welding rods and other toxic chemicals. He also has successfully handled product liability cases for manufacturers of automobiles, aircraft, pipeline, transportation equipment, machine tools and consumer products. Eshelman received his J.D. from Duke University School of Law 1970 and his B.A. in economics, cum laude with Distinction, from Dartmouth College in 1967.
