Carry1st and Cosi Games Sign Global Publishing Deal
Developer of Pelé: Soccer Legend and Muhammad Ali: Puzzle King entrusts Carry1st to deliver their next mobile sports title to a global audience
NEW YORK, December 22, 2020 (Newswire.com) - Carry1st has entered into a global, multi-year publishing agreement with New York City-headquartered Cosi Games to complete and publish the studio’s innovative new casual multiplayer futbol game.
Based in New York City and Bangalore, Cosi Games is an innovative mobile gaming studio with a history of delivering exciting casual sports games. The studio’s flagship title to date is Pelé: Soccer Legend, which had over 7m downloads and was featured as “Best New Game” in 162 countries. More recently Cosi released a game with the boxing icon Muhammed Ali that generated over 3m downloads in its first 2 months.
Carry1st is an emerging publisher of social games and interactive content with a focus on frontier markets like Africa. The company partners with studios across the globe to scale and monetize their products. Carry1st has a world-class team distributed team hailing from top companies like: Carlyle, King, Morgan Stanley, Rovio, and Wargaming – and are members of (Stanford-affiliated) StartX and the Mastercard Start Path Program.
In the coming months, Carry1st will be working with Cosi to enhance the systems design and game economy for its new game helping to prepare it for a global launch. Thereafter, Carry1st will be responsible for funding and managing user acquisition, distribution, live operations, and community for the game. This deal follows the announcements of Carry1st having closed a $2.5M seed round earlier this year and inking a publishing partnership with Ethiopia-based Qene Games.
