Carzonrent Eyeing To Double Its Market Share In Hyd To 20 PC

Online, August 28, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Car rental company, Carzonrent today announced the launch of 'inter-city, intra-city and self-drive services' here and aims to double its market share in Hyderabad to 20 per cent in the next three years.

"All these three services will be available in an array of cars starting from economy to luxury cars. Carzonrent which runs a fleet of around 700 cars in the city as of now will dedicate additional 200 cars each for inter-city and intra-city travel and 100 cars for self-drive services in the first phase," Carzonrent MD and CEO Rajiv Vij told reporters.

"Carzonrent(India) which enjoys around 9 to 10 per cent of market share in Hyderabad seeks to capture 20 per cent of Hyderabad market over the next three years," Vij said.

The company which crossed Rs 250 crore revenue mark last year has achieved 18 per cent market share in major cities across the country in the organised segment, he said adding they have a fleet of 6,500 cars.

Carzonrent will be commencing its self-drive service for customers in about a month and the company is collaborating with international car partners in 145 countries to facilitate car rental services to Indian travellers when they travel overseas.
