The Main card is loaded with UFC veterans and fan favorites. Scrappy Australian George Sotiropoulos is scheduled to open against Kurt Pelligrino. A light heavyweight match with Ultimate Fighter Season 1 Runner up Stephan Bonner pitted against the always dangerous Krzysztof Soszynski sets off for the second match. World Renowned Wanderlei Silva squares off against Japan's Yoshihiro Akiyama in a middleweight bout.

The main event of the evening includes the return of former WWE Superstar and current UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar. Lesnar was scheduled to fight interm Heavyweight Champion Shane Carwin at UFC 106 but Lesnar was forced to bow out after contracting mononucleosis. After regaining his strength the two heavyweights are set to clash at UFC 116 to determine the undisputed Heavyweight Champion.
