The Community Breakthrough Support Mission is dedicated to improving the lives of children in Kimilili, Kenya. The mission through the efforts of dedicated volunteers cares for and educates 250 orphans and vulnerable children of the community. The projects CBSM has brought to the community are important not only to care for and teach the children today, but provide a sustainable future. Recent successes have included community and school projects such as a nutrition garden, clean water project, village phone salon, Bible story time, and a multi-national song exchange program between school age children in Europe and the United States.
On July 3, 2010, the Mission will be hosting a football/soccer tournament to raise awareness and much needed funding for the school. Unfortunately, the school and its students are facing a real problem of being displaced if they cannot come up with the funding for a down payment for the land it is located on.
The Community Breakthrough Support Mission is trying to get this message out worldwide over the Internet, but support is needed locally as well. Awareness of the organization and its fundraising goal of $1,500 (USD) are needed, and the best way to spread the word is through the efforts of local radio and television stations. Attached is a press release of the tournament and recent successes of the school.
Please join the effort to support the Mission's goal of a future for the orphans it serves as well as a chance at sustainability. In advance, thank you for your consideration and time.

Sincerely,

The Community Breakthrough Support Mission
